The Bridge home international series in Edinburgh from 8th to 10th January 2010 was run by the Scottish Bridge Union (East District) for Bridge Great Britain. The match manager was Anne Perkins.
At the end of the weekend we have a close Camrose to take to the second weekend. The Republic of Ireland ultimately came out on top with 100 VP, just one ahead of England, with the lead switching back and forth throughout the final matches. Third are Wales on 78, first weekend hosts Scotland on 72, Northern Ireland 57 and NIBU 40.
Ireland and England won 4 of their matches, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales 2 each and NIBU 1.
Looking forward to an exciting second weekend in Belfast starting on March 5th.

“Allow me to compliment you on a job well done. What an excellent service, greatly appreciated by our many spectators. I would also like to express our appreciation to the organisers and operators. They worked very hard and did extremely well, although the circumstances (connections) were not always the best. I don't have everyone's e-mail address, so please pass on our thanks to all of them.
The Scottish Bridge Union has every reason to be proud of the presentation to thousands of viewers all over the world. It was your most comprehensive arrangement ever, and it was a tremendous success!”
